SWISSLENS® Frequently Asked Questions

Is SWISSLENS® a lens manufacturer?

No. SWISSLENS® is a design and distribution brand developed by SwissPacket SNC. We design the lenses in Switzerland and have them manufactured by certified industrial partners in the USA and Japan. This model allows us to select the best available technologies and offer competitive solutions to professionals.

Where do SWISSLENS® lenses come from?

The lenses are produced in certified partner laboratories, primarily in the USA and Japan, according to our technical specifications and quality controls. SwissLens handles the design, sourcing, quality control, and distribution.

What is the difference between spin coating and mass photochromic coating?

Spin coating deposits a photochromic layer on the surface of the glass, offering superior homogeneity, speed, and durability. Mass photochromic coating integrates the active molecules throughout the entire volume of the glass, a more economical but less effective solution.

Are SWISSLENS® lenses certified in Europe?

Yes. All our lenses are manufactured according to applicable European EN ISO standards and bear the CE marking where required. Our partners are audited regularly.

Do you offer Transitions® lenses?

Yes. SWISSLENS® distributes the Transitions® range in partnership with Transitions Optical. Transitions® lenses are patented products manufactured according to the trademark holder's specifications.

What are the lead times for business orders?

Delivery times vary depending on the product range and volume. Standard lenses are generally available within 24 to 48 hours. Prescription or personalized lenses require 3 to 7 business days.
